The Mustang's horsepower is nearly doubled when fitted with this new upgrade. The supercharger brings it from 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque to 700 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. These numbers are even achieved with standard 93 octane fuel, regardless of the new boost pressure getting as high as 12 psi.
How about that F-150? When added to a 2018 Ford F-150, the vehicle jumps from 395 hp and 400 lb-ft to a strong 640 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque.
To be available early 2018 from certified Ford dealers, the supercharger will come with all the hardware needed to install it as well as an exclusive performance calibration. If that doesn't sound good enough yet, it is backed by its own warranty and will not void the warranty of your vehicle as long as it is installed by a Ford dealer or Automotive Service Excellence-certified service technician.
Roush founder and Chairman Jack Roush made a statement about the new supercharger.
“Our teams collaborated to create the most highly engineered, tested and performing supercharger kit on the market. The combination of the 2018 5.0-liter engine and our all-new, fully integrated 2650 supercharger system yields simply incredible, no-compromise performance.”
Details about pricing will be made available closer to the launch date. Sit tight Mustang owners.
