When it comes to television, the only ones that ever make the news seems to be Top Gear and Jay Leno's Garage. Now Edd China is stepping up to join the TV scene with “Edd China's Garage Revival.”

As the name implies, the main focus of the show is on restoring old vehicles. So far there's only a single, 40-minute pilot, which will air via YouTube on May 1. Though this episode's success will determine if it gets picked up into a televised or online streaming show.

It was a strike of sad news when China left Wheeler Dealers last year, reportedly due to creative differences between them and a new producer. In short, the mechanic nature of China didn't like their producer wanting to skip over the dirty details of vehicles in order to appeal to a broader audience. China left after 13 seasons, in which he was replaced by Ant Anstead in season 14, which aired last year.

After spending about a year off, China is back at the camera. This time he'll be traveling around the world, meeting owners of unique yet unfinished project cars, helping them finish what they started.

Check out the Edd China's Garage Revival YouTube Channel on May 1 to see the episode for yourself.
