The upcoming 2017 SEMA show in Las Vegas will include a booth for American Hot Rods. To be there promoting is is reality TV personality and renown hot rod builder, Duane Mayer.

Duane teamed up with Boyd Coddington back in 1985 building hot rods. Eventually, he would take a break from Coddington’s to work with Chuck Lombardo at California Street Rods. Finally opening up a shop of his own in the end.

Over 10 years after that, Duane would team back up with Coddington, this time to start a new reality TV series called “American Hot Rod”. The show ran on the Discovery Channel from 2004 to 2008, building a number of unique vehicles. The most famous one being the “CadZZila” for classic rock group ZZ Top.

With a lifetime of experience and knowledge with the industry and a passion for custom cars pushing him forward, Duane branched off on his own to open his own American Hot Rods in Wisconsin.
