The brand announced a new incentive program on Thursday that will offer higher dollar figures the more horsepower the purchased vehicle has. These "power dollars" apply to any 2019 Challenger, Charger, and Durango purchased after August 1, Dodge will offer the buyer $10 for every degree of horsepower the vehicle has.
Take the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, for example. It has 797 horsepower, so it will grant the buyer a $7,970 cash allowance. In turn, the 305-hp Challenger SXT would only grant a $3,050 allowance.
Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars at FCA North America“Dodge has more horsepower than anyone else, and we want to share it and give those who have always wanted more the ability to get more.”
I can appreciate the creativity of this promotion, but I'll stick to my 150-hp Chrysler for now.
