The new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is confirmed to be the fastest muscle car in the world. A lot of talk has surrounded this car for a while now and it was said that the car would blow the Hellcat out of the water. The rumored power output for the car was around 757 horsepower, which is just 50 more than the Hellcat’s 707. I wouldn’t really qualify that as “blowing it out of the water.”

Well it turns out that 757 is not the actual horsepower that this car will be putting out. Since the car isn’t being officially revealed until the New York Auto Show, the power output was just rumored. Dodge has now come out and decided to give us the real number just a few weeks ahead of schedule.

The Dodge SRT Demon will have an incredible 6.6-liter supercharged V8 engine which will be producing an incredibly 909 horsepower. It will have a zero to sixty time of 2.8 seconds, making it .3 seconds faster than the Hellcat and making it the fastest muscle car on the planet. If you can’t wait any longer to see the car, it has recently been all over the place. You can see it in the trailer for The Fate of the Furious, which premieres on April 14 (the day of the New York Auto Show). You can also see a very good look at it in the music video for the movie down below.
