What happens when you combine the King of Pop and the King of Supercars? You get a Pepsi commercial. Back in 1987, Pepsi made a commercial featuring Micheal Jackson and a custom convertible Ferrari Testarossa called "The Chopper." After 30 years, that vehicle is available for purchase on MotorGT.
California customizer Richard Straman was the one responsible for transforming the Testarossa into the topless beauty it became. Aside from the top, The side mirror on the driver's side was raised up for dramatic effect.
Straman has plenty of experience under his belt, having built multiple Testarossa Spyders for $40,000 plus the cost of the donor 1986 Ferrari Testarossa. Though if Pepsi could afford Micheal Jackson for a commercial in the 80s, odds are budget wasn't much of an issue
The asking price of the vehicle is what stuck out to me the most. In 2014 the Chopper sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona for $73,700. The MotorGT asking price is a hefty $799,900. that's over 1000% more than before. Though if its worth it, you can check out the listing here.
