The fuel economy ratings for the Bugatti Chiron are hilariously terrible, but who expected anything different? Surprisingly, it's ratings are better than they Veyron. Who would have thought? The hypercar officially gets 9mpg city, 14 highway, and 11 combined. The Veyron only had 8 in the city, so good job Bugatti! Way to step up guys!
When compared to other cars, like the Ford GT, the ratings are fairly similar. The GT is able to get 11 in the city, 18 highway, and 14 combined. Odds are that if you just dropped $2.6 million on you Bugatti Chiron, you don't care at all about how much gas you need. If you own a Chiron, you probably don't even fill it up yourself. Just have somebody else do it. You don't have time to go to the gas station.
Moral of the story is don't buy a Chiron if you don't want to buy a ton of gas. You're going to have to stop all the time to fill the car up and it's going to suck. This probably isn't going to be your everyday driver, but you're gonna have to fill the tank 2 or 3 times before you even make it to the track. Just be prepared for that.
