The 16-second video steps away from the traditional teaser of showing major zooms of a vehicle's features in the darkness. Instead, it opts for showing the entire vehicle, zooming past the camera on a track. Except its moving so fast that we can't see anything about the vehicle other than its (probably) grey.
The name is a homage to the company's first car, the BT1. The firm has stated that the BT62 is made to be unbelievably fast. The naming convention has a history for speed, with the BT7, giving co-founder Jack Brabham his first Formula 1 victory in 1966, and the BT52 becoming the first turbocharged F1 car in history to win a world title in 1983.
David Brabham, managing director of Brabham Automotive and the late Jack Brabham's son, said the following in a statement.
"That same spirit lives strong within Brabham Automotive today, and its first project, the Brabham BT62, honors the legacy of the cars that have previously carried the iconic Brabham name."
Is this year going to be the return of Brabham? I'd sure enjoy that.
