With the Geneva Auto Show drawing closer, we're beginning to see the first wave of pre-show teasers from big-name automakers. This time around, BMW is teasing what we presume is an 8 Series Gran Coupe Concept.

The image (seen above) shows the left side of a sleek and narrow 4-door. What isn't cast in shadows is coated in a polite green color. Based on a teaser we saw back in January, this might be a sedan variation of the production 8 Series coupe. Although the greenhouse opening does look different.

Despite the darkness, we can distinguish a few key features. Such as it's large front fenders, the C-pillar crease, and a large rear bumper. The design connection to the two-door 8 Series concept BMW unveiled last May can be seen as well, particularly the discreet mirrors and sloping nose.

The only information to join this image was the phrase “Stay tuned. More to come in Geneva next week.”

I'll certainly have my ears open. The 2018 Geneva Auto Show begins Tuesday, March 6. So we only need to wait a week before seeing what the carmaker has planned.
