BMW is no stranger to performance upgrades. This fact is only further solidified, now that they have a full assortment of upgrades available for the M2 Competition. The vehicle may already be amazing as stock, but the automaker wants to make sure you can get any M Performance parts you want on day one.

What do you need? Exterior? Cabin? As long as your answer is "reduces weight," then they have a part for you. A number of carbon fiber replacement parts will help cut away the unneeded pounds, and add newfound aerodynamics, for a more powerful punch when driving.

But there's more to being the best than just a better body. You will also have your choice of an adjustable coil-over suspension with 12 settings for compression and 16 for rebound. You'll be riding low too since it lowers the car by up to 20 millimeters. Carbon-ceramic rotors and larger brakes accent the lighter wheels. If you're looking for a hot backside, an active exhaust system with a titanium muffler is also available.

On the inside, you can upgrade your gear selector, pedals and trim. Said trim includes Alcantara and genuine carbon fiber elements. On a more technical side, you can install an M Performance Drive Analyzer. This telemetry system will track important vehicle information like speed, RPMs, bake use, and more. You can access all the information easily from your smartphone, thanks to an attachment plugged into the car's OBD port.

Alas, if you were simply looking for more raw power, there isn't anything available for the M2 Competition. The car already has a detuned 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6, like in the M3 and M4. In its natural state, it delivers 405 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Depending on how many Performance upgrades you have, you'll see 0-60 times around 4 seconds, and top speeds of 174 mph.

For more information, or to buy some of these bits yourself, talk to your local BMW showroom. I don't mean to sound like an advertisement. I just get excited about performance parts.
