The 2018 Nissan Z is buzzing with rumors right now and nobody really knows what they can expect from this car, aside from the fact that it’s going to be amazing. While the rumors continue to spread, they might be halted pretty soon here. Reports have suggested that toward the end of this year, a preview with a close-to-production concept will be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show and will give people a great idea about what this car offers. One major rumor that it will squash will be the talk about whether the car will remain a low-slung coupe or if it has been transformed into a new crossover.

The Z is going to be on an underpinning made from Infiniti parts and will be riding on Infiniti Q60’s FR-L platform. The front end is going to look more similar to the well-known Nissan GT-R and with this stunning look will also come a lot of power.

The entry level Z is reported to come standard with a 3.0-liter V6 engine which will put out around 300 horsepower. A hybrid version has also been reported that would produce around 160 horsepower, and if that isn’t enough, there have also been reports the a more expensive package might be released where you can get you Nissan Z up to 500 horsepower. Lastly, if the convertible rumor is true and there is in fact a convertible model, you can expect that to be running on a 2.0-liter turbocharge hybrid engine.
