When you have a nice car, you tend to want to show it off. Some people do this by posting pictures online, some by going to auto shows, and some by street racing. The difference is that the first 2 don't kill anyone.

A deadly car accident took place on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the intersection of West Whitestone Boulevard and Walton Way in Austin, Texas. The Cedar Park Police Department have concluded this is the result of street racing.

The accident took the lives of one-year-old Daniel Chaudhary and eight-year-old Elijah Chaudhary. 31-year-old Zara Salman, mother/step-mother to the children has been rendered comatose and is in critical condition at the local hospital.

According to the authorities, 18-year-old Hayden Michael Hammer was racing another truck down West Whitestone Blvd, crashing into Salman's Nissan as they were turning left onto Walton Way. Hammer has since been arrested for Racing on Highway Causing Death on two counts. This is classified as a second-degree felony, and he is being held in the Williamson County Jail.

Reports say that the Police have also identified the other racer involved in the incident a few days later, but no details about the individual have been released.

Drive safe, everybody.
