A Connecticut woman, Shanta Jordan, jumped in front of a vehicle to save a young boy's life as a car was approaching. The car was speeding off of the road and slammed the two into the wall of a restaurant. By jumping in front of the car, Jordan was able to absorb the majority of the impact. Although the two both ended up getting hit, they survived the crash.

The child, woman, and driver were all rushed to the hospital after sustaining major injuries. It was at first believed that doctors would need to amputate the boy's legs, but after hours of surgery, the child exited the operating room with fully functional limbs. Shanta Jordan also had major injuries, but all three will survive after recovery time.

The driver of the car is being charged with reckless driving and will be brought to trial. Jordan is being honored by the city and is being called a hero for this valiant act. Had she not jumped in front of the vehicle, the car would have made direct impact with the boy and killed him. The footage can be seen down below, but be warned beforehand that this shows the entirety of the accident and can be considered graphic to some.
