A vehicle's needs will always necessitate its form. Take the spoiler, for example. It helps produce downforce from the wind, keeping traction and control strong. But this particular Nissan GT-R may have taken the concept a touch too far, strapping wings in the front AND back.

The GT-R is a custom form made specifically for hill climb racing by Franco Scribante Racing of Kyalami, South Africa. Revealed on Monday, it was first reported on by Carscoops. This may, the vehicle will make an appearance at the Simola Hill climb in the South African town of Knysna in May. But it's goals aren't what has our attention, it's the plethora of wings sticking out of the front bumper.

Made from carbon fiber, the GT-R features as much wing support as possible. The front wings extend out from the bumper, giving it an almost plow-like look. The back features a three-plane wing almost enveloping the back side of the car.

The firm worked with Dodson Motorsport to build the vehicle. It's no softy, either. They reported a total capability of 2,200 horsepower. Such power is needed for hill climbing, after all.

As impressive as it may be, we just can't look away from those wings.
