It's been rumored for a while that Subaru was going to release an STI version of the BRZ but it has really only ever been shown to fan boys at car shows. My guess is the interest was there in these kids beating down the doors of Subaru wanting one. I mean what’s not to like? Remember this concept below?
Yeah, nothing comes close to the BRZ STI Concept Car they had shown but I’m sure some aftermarket guys can make it look the same, right?
Anyway, onto the specs… The big changes are a new spoiler, more aerodynamic body kit, Brembo brakes (yes!), upgraded suspension and up to a potential 230 horsepower! Here I was hoping for a boosted variant. Maybe one day then it might be worth buying? My guess is that this is no earlier than the 2018 model and perhaps a 2019 Subaru BRZ STI. The sticker price is said to start at around $27,000 to get into this boy racer car. Would you buy it?
