SpeedKore Performance Group from Grafton, Wisconsin is creating some crazy muscle cars. One of the cars they created was a 1970 Dodge Charger with a 9.0-liter turbocharged racing engine sitting at 1,650 horsepower. In addition to creating that, the company rolled out a 2017 Ford Mustang GT with the entire body of the car decked out in carbon fiber paneling that they developed in-house at last year's SEMA show.

More recently, they replaced the body of a 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R in carbon fiber upon request. It cost the owner about $70,000 and the vehicle was just featured in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage. While the owner did have to spend a ton of money on the conversion, the weight benefits are extremely substantial. A carbon fiber fender from SpeedKore weighs 1.8 pounds, which makes me assume that the car lost hundreds of pounds overall from the conversion.

If you're interested in giving your car a total badass makeover, you don't have to own a Mustang. SpeedKore offers full carbon fiber body paneling for the Chevrolet Camaro and the Dodge Challenger as well!
