Is Shelby working on a tuned Ford Bronco? A recent video by the automotive modding company seems to imply so.

Presented on the Bronco Nation Youtube channel, a new video shows a one-lap race between a Mustang Shelby GT500 SE and a 2021 Ford Bronco. Taking place at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennys, Oklahoma, Shelby American CEO Gary Patterson drove the Shelby while professional driver Shelby Hall drove a 2021. Playing on the pro driver’s name, the video is called Shelby VS Shelby.

Hall won the race in the end. They are a pro, after all. But this led to Patterson talking about “doing something” with the Bronco. While the statement isn’t indicative on its own, when you consider the video and it’s context, it all vaguely points at a Shelby Bronco.

Shelby has done off-road work before with the Ford F-150 Raptor and F-250 Super Duty. So while it’s not their usual, it's not unheard of, either. It also follows current trends, with both Hennessey and Ford themselves possibly making improved versions of the Bronco.

As a fan of Shelby’s work, we’re excited to see what kind of changes the autoshop will make to such a legendary model.
