Ford may have given up on their other passenger cars, but the Mustang still reigns supreme. Roush recognizes the vehicle's potential and is building a special Mustang to pack as much power as possible. They call it the Jackhammer.

The Livonia, Michigan-based company came out with a supercharger upgrade for the Mustang GT last year, which gave it a 700+ hp output. Now they have returned with a special turbocharger, called the 2650, to create an even more powerful special-edition car.

The Jackhammer Mustang will push out 710 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque. To make the most of it, Roush also installed an adjustable coil over suspension, vents on the hood, and a front lip spoiler. Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires can also be found on the wheels.

Interested buyers will have their choice between either a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. The coupe body is the only available style, however. The cabin features new Recaro leather seats, and you'll find an upgraded exhaust package, side body stripes and billet performance pedals on the outside. 200 examples of the Jackhammer Mustang will be built, so expect them to go fast. But if you can get a hold of one in time, a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty comes standard with the car.

We don't have the performance specs, unfortunately. If a stock Mustang GT with 460 hp can hit 60 mph in under 4.0 seconds, then we can assume something with 710 hp is capable of something notably better than that.
