This might be the most elegant topic I've ever written about. Rolls-Royce has partnered with Fabregé for a special Fabergé egg to house the "Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy."

The jewel crafter is best known for their line of degrative eggs, known as Fabergé eggs. Rare and obnoxiously expensive, they're a common symbol of class and wealth to own one.

Rolls-Royce is working with seven Fabergé craftsmen to produce a special Fabergé egg. Sitting on an engine-turned, hand-engraved base of 18-karat white gold, The egg shape is formed by several arms of white diamond and natural amethyst. Inside the egg rests Spirit of Ecstasy. The arms can even open up like a flower to reveal the spirit.

At first, I had hoped this would be a hood ornament for a Roll-Royce vehicle. Such dreams were quickly dashed (It'd have been stolen immediately anyway). Instead, the figure is fated for a collector with a love of both brands.

The level of luxury representation in a Fabergé Rolls-Royce partnership is unlike I've ever seen. While the press release didn't state a price, we can assume it's somewhere in the range of "far too much" to "cannot comprehend."
