Here's a sweet story for you to awe at as you sip your morning coffee:

All Jonathan Corbett, of Camillus, New York, wanted was his young 5-year-old daughter to be well. But to do that, he had to part with his modified 2011 Subaru WRX STI.

After all, his daughter, Colleen, has been suffering from the consequences of brain damage during birthing procedures. To illustrate, Colleen received a blood infection during birth alongside a subdural hematoma and two major seizures. As a result, the girl has level two cerebral palsy, frequent seizures and bilateral hearing loss.

So to improve her quality of life, the Corbette family collaborated with a clinic near Los Angeles to set Collen up with stem cell therapy. Unfortunately, the procedure is $6,500. Even more unfortunate is that Mr. Corbett owes $12,000 on the STI, so he's placing the car on sale for $20,000.

It's stated on Craigslist that the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI features 4 cylinders and four-wheel drive. The transmission is manual and the odometer reads 88,500.

Here's the most recent statement on the Craigslist page:

"First of all thank you all so much! Thanks to the help of 100's of generous enthusiasts and compassionate people, it looks like we will get to keep the car. So I am posting a public thank you to anyone who shared, liked, donated to help out. You guys rock and we are so blessed for all of your help!"
