The Jeep Wrangler has a history of being doorless, but why should they be the only one? Maybe its someone else's time to shine. And if these recent patents are to be trusted, that might be the Ford Bronco.

According to patent images first discovered by MotorTrend on Thursday, the 2021 Ford Bronco might include removable doors and impact beams. It shows modular door hinges, allowing owners to swap between them as they see fit.

The patent was filed by Ford Global Technologies LLC into the German Patent and Trademark Office in January, it was not made public until March 7.

This system would allow Bronco owners greater ease and freedom with their door options. But patents are never a guarantee. But since there are dealer sources making the same claim of a removable door for Bronco models, this is looking quite likely. In reality, however, we won't know for sure until next year, when they start premiering the 2021 models.
