The most powerful Honda is about to hit showrooms in the United States. The Honda Civic Type R is a 306 horsepower beast with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with a six-speed manual transmission. Before this brand new Type R the Honda NSX held the record at Nurburgring with an 8:16 lap time. The Type R did it in 7:44, over 30 seconds faster than the NSX. That time has named this new vehicle the fastest front-drive car ever to make a lap around Germany's famous race track.

This is also the first time that Americans will have access to Honda's most powerful ride. Aside from all of the strength this machine has, people haven't been too fond of its appearance. Personally, I think the Type R looks absolutely beautiful, but it may be too over-the-top for some. Honestly, this car looks like it has built in weaponry and I think it's gorgeous.

The car is coming with a limited slip differential to avoid torque steer overload, 20-inch wheels, Brembo 4-pot pistons up front, and three different driving modes, which are normal, sport, and race. Each mode has a different steering weight, suspension stiffness, and throttle response to make sure that you have the cleanest ride possible in any situation.

The Civic Type R is going to pop into showrooms after Spring 2017. It's going to be priced around the 35-36k range and will pack one hell of a punch. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for this war machine at a dealership near you.
