Eric Boullier, the McLaren chief executive, delivers a statement regarding their 2018 Formula 1 entry. They plan to replace their Honda power with Renault. This will result in a decrease in power, something that Boullier brushes off since they "have one of the best cars in high-speed corners." Boullier considers this change a "revolution" to their Formula 1 vehicle.

While this change will no doubt affect the performance of the vehicle, it will be the only notable change taking place according to Boullier.

"We are not radically changing the car. The 2018 car will be a 100 percent evolution of the current car. The radiators required by the Renault unit are smaller than those of Honda, making our aerodynamic task easier. But I cannot tell you anything else."

They were also able to discuss the budget changes for the 2018 season, though it isn't very exciting. The budget will stay approximately the same. They consider it a healthy amount and suits their design intentions well enough.

Both Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne will return as drivers.
