Self-driving cars are pretty high tech in and of itself. But it's all been about the underlying technology. Kia has now had their hand at designing concept cars focusing on the extreme potentials of an autonomous car's design.

The automaker has announced their plans to reveal what they're calling the Real Time Emotion Adaptive Driving (READ) concept sets at the 2019 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next month.

Developed alongside the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, these vehicles use artificial intelligence to understand the mood of its passenger and adjust the environment accordingly. Are you feeling stressed out? The car will change the lighting and sounds to cultivate a more relaxing environment. Tired? How about something a bit more active to keep you alert.

Kia intends to detail a line of concept vehicles focusing on the autonomy of tomorrow. But Kia has yet to release any details at this time. Though given the dramatic looking images provided, it'll be interesting, to say the least.

Kia is yet to release full details on the concept so we'll have to wait until the debut. Fortunately, the 2019 CES starts January 8, so the wait isn't too long. The CES starts on January 8, so at least we don't have to wait too long.
