Taking a donor chassis and giving is a new and unique body is a difficult yet beautiful art. An art that is kept alive thanks to designers like Ken Okuyama. A year ago we saw him take a Ferrari 599 GTB and transform it into the Kode 57 speedster. Now he has returned again, this time with the Kode 0.

The Kode 0 is based on the Lamborghini Aventador. Recently this new vehicle was brought to the garage of Jay Leno for a close-up preview.

With the blessings of Lamborghini themselves, the Kode 0 was a commission by an unnamed client. The wedge shape of the car was inspired by popular designs from the 1970s when cyberpunk was on full blast. One feature that stands out was the rear cooling fans. Okuyama explains that the design choice was based on the submersible Lotus Esprit from the 1977 James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me." The interior is as unique as the exterior, though it is a touch easier to see the resemblance to the donor Aventador from within.

The mechanics include a 6.5-liter V-12 with 691 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque, a new suspension to compensate for the wider body, carbon-ceramic brake discs, and Novitec forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires in all 4 corners.

In order to get your very own Kode 0, Ken Okuyama is open to being commissioned at the low price of $1.5 million. Not including the donor Lamborghini Aventador, of course.
