According to an article written by Quora over at Forbes, he got the chance to test a Model S on the track and has all the facts. After careful testing and number crunching, he has determined that the Model S is in fact the fastest production car that has ever been created. It has a jaw-dropping, record-breaking 0-60 time of only 2.28 seconds, confirmed by MotorTrend. For a P100D, there is not one single stock car in production that can top it.

The vehicle is not a top-speed car, but it does move very well around a track. The only downside to the car is it's reduced power mode, but that won't kick in right away. Initial reports were saying that the car would enter reduced power mode after only 45 seconds on the track, but according to Quora, it's more like 7 miles. Once the car enters this mode, the horsepower becomes rapidly more and more limited until the car gets to take a rest.

While Tesla isn't a racecar manufacturer by any means, these cars are fantastic for everyday driving. Granted, they're a tad bit on the expensive side right now, but they will make any carbuyer very happy. Tesla is doing a lot of things the right way, and this is certainly another example of that!
