SEMA is just around the corner. And like every year, automakers are pulling out some fun and interesting ideas out of their turbo-charged bag of goodies. In this case, we see a modified Ridgeline by Honda.

It started as an all-wheel-drive stock Ridgeline. It was given some skid plates, off-road wheels and tires, and a leveling kit. But it's capable of more than just mud running. It also was fixed with side steps, a roof rack system, a bed rack, and even a generator. Now it's nothing short of a rescue mission.

Everything shown off on the modified Ridgeline will be available for purchase as well, according to Honda.

This is only one of many things the automakers wants to present at SEMA this year. They also have the pilot that ran the 1,700-mile Rebelle Rally for Ariel Jen and Melanie Morimoto, the Civic Type R TCR race car that won the inaugural TCR Championship this year, a modified Insight, and a carbon-fiber pedal car. They'll also be showing an open-air concept vehicle, which they've only described as "wild looking."

More will come to light on all of this on October 30.
