The Porsche 911 has been a hot topic the last few months. The electrification of vehicles has been as well. This Dutch firm combined the two.

Voitures Extravert has begun "Project Quintessenza," a 1970s or 1980s Porsche 911 with a modern electric powertrain. The vehicle is capable of up to 250 miles per hour thanks to the 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack inside. It's not weak in its wheels, either. The electric 911 can go from 0-62 mph in 6.0 seconds.

The firm also claims improved dynamics. the electric motors placed in the front and back allow for better weight distribution. Eliminating the off-center will allow for a smoother ride with better balance.

The Quintessenza is "reasonably priced" according to Voitures Extravert, sitting at $370,000. A hefty cost, but it covers the donor car, parts, and production. You'll still have to figure out tax, however.

Good luck getting a hold of one. The 5 units dedicated to 2018 have already been locked down. Only 12 units will be produced in 2019, as well. So availability is limited.
