So there's stupid and then there's sometimes even more stupid in the Car Scene these days. The stupid I speak of is one who goes by the name of Jiefu Jefferey Gong, that's a mouthful, yeah? Well, he was doing around 125mph on the YouTube series Vehicle Virgins before he spun out of control attempting to avoid an animal and then slammed into a tree.  The video below shows some of the high speeds hit before the big crash happened;

He claimed to be only doing 15 over 35mph when the car wreck happened but the police got a hold of the video as well as the car data and put it together.  The Ann Arbor News also stated that Gong changed his statement later and said he had no memory of the crash and his teen passanger was too busy "checking her phone" so she couldn't recall how fast they were going either. Riiight!  I don't think going 50mph would cause the damage seen here below.

This kind of puts things into perspective the next time you film yourself breaking speed limits. I'm sure many of us are guilty of it, myself included so it's a sobering reminder of what "could" happen although it's a good idea to not do something like this if you're a "Vehicle Virgin" I would say. Know your car, know yourself and maybe refrain from recording yourself and you'll be OK.  Right?
