No one really argues that the Jaguar E-Type isn't a beautiful car. Though when you have eyes for the classics, it's easy to overlook the later generations. This E-Type Series 3 restomod reminds of that the series was stunning till the very end.

The E-Type restomod was developed by British firm E-Type UK. They reworked a 1974 E-Type Series 3 from top to bottom to create what we have here. It begins with a new set of stainless steel bumpers, free of the unsightly rubber extensions from the original. Extended louvers were added to the hood, while a channel was opened for additional airflow. Lastly, we see 16-inch Turino wheels for extra zest.

What we don't see is the standard 5.3-liter V-12 engine now displacing 6.1 liters to produce 288 horsepower. It was also given a bespoke fuel injection system with Jenvy throttle bodies, an Emerald ECU, and a custom wiring harness. All of the newfound power is sent to a 5-speed manual transmission while the exhaust is sent out a custom stainless steel exhaust system. The shop believes this will be the highest-output E-Type Series 3 in the world.

To handle this performance, the chassis was given a number of upgrades. The inner sills were strengthened while a sports steering rack was installed for better feel. To increase smoothness, an adjustable suspension with torsion bars were added. And to stop as needed, AP Racing brakes were installed.

To add a touch of modern to the retro ride, LED lighting was installed both inside and out. The exterior lights were replaced with LED variants, while the inside footwells, doors, startup button, and more are illuminated with the lighting option. The mirrors can be adjusted electronically while a modern surround sound system can boom whatever music you connect, complete with Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, this vehicle won't be available publicly. It was a made-to-order purchase for an overseas customer (that could mean the States). Whoever ordered it must have paid a heavy price.
