Britain is taking the air pollution crisis quite seriously, as it has announced on Wednesday that sales of new diesel and gas cars would end around 2040. Additionally, 255 million pounds will be made available for local governments to reduce air pollution.

Britain isn't the only one to take this important step in the combat against climate change. France has also made a similar pledge of ending the sales of gas and diesel cars by 2040.

Not to mention there are a few car manufacturers that are leaning toward electric cars. After all, you should take a peek at the Tesla Long Range Model 3

According to Michael Gove, the country's environmental secretary:

"It is important that we all gear up for a significant change which deals not just with the problems to health caused by emissions, but the broader problems caused in terms of accelerating climate change."

It's true, though. Action must be taken, but this is also an opportunity to see fancier, sleeker cars too. We'll see what happens in 23 years.
