Track-only supercars are fun, sure. But if I really want to show off, I want to be able to drive my ridiculously expensive vehicles into town so the peasantry can gawk at my amazement. Thankfully, Brabham understands me, and they've now announced their plans to make the BT62 street-legal.

The Brabham BT62 will be allowed on the streets of the United Kingdom, though not without restriction. Existing owners can contact the car company with a request for street legality. Brabham will then perform an Independent Vehicle Assessment (IVA) and send you a set of plates valid for one year.

You go, drive, and have fun for a year. After that, you have to contact Brabham again, ask for another, and the process repeats once more. In the current state of things, this can be done for a total of two years. We can only assume Brabham is working out a way to extend this even longer.

You won't get to take advantage of the vehicle's 700-horsepower 5.4-liter V-8 making your way down to Arby's, but you'll certainly feel good about the trip.
