The Land Rover Defender is a wonderful vehicle. It's even more impressive when Kahn Design gives it a touch of class. Though they aren't the only ones wanting a hand in modifying the Defender. Bowler is developing their own variant.

The British off-road racing brand released a teaser image (seen above) recently of what appears to be a Land Rover Defender. It'll be different than what we've seen in the past, even by Land Rover themselves. This is because the teased model will be built on the Cross Sector Platform, a modular creation from Bowler themselves.

The chassis will provide a common electrical powertrain, drivetrain, and architecture and support for a 6x6 alternative configuration. The platform was built specifically with commercially available items to ensure worldwide compatibility.

A number of excellent vehicles have been built on the CSP, though mostly for the race tracks. I'm happy to hear a V8 Defender being part of it.
