When not fighting over electric cars, companies are fighting over building the first Hyperloop. Virgin Hyperloop One, a BMW Designworks Studio partner, is frontrunning toward a concept hyperloop passenger capsule, and it looks like something out of TRON.

The two companies debuted their design on Thursday after meeting with Virgin Hyperloop One and the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai. So far, this is the first official prototype to make a public appearance.

If you want to simplify, Hyperloops are essentially the trains of the future. They carry bulk passengers and travel on a set path. The difference is the technology behind them. You can also expect a rather high level of luxury from the Hyperloop capsule. Designworks has looked into personally-controlled lights, digital displays, temperature controlled seating, and built-in entertainment.

Virgin Hyperloop One have been making amazing strides towards the progress of hyperloop technology. Earlier this month, the company provided a full-scale test for Saudi leaders, and last December, the company's test capsule reached 240 mph. Their goal is to achieve 670 mph for its production system, which they hope to meet by 2021.

The specific location of the Hyperloop track remains unknown. According to recent studies, the most likely locations would be in the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Finland.
