Acura has recently announced a new Special Edition for the 2018 Acura ILX. This will have A-spec model features for a lower cost.

In terms of the exterior, The ILX Special Edition will be built with side sills and a rear spoiler for better aerodynamics, 18-inch wheels, and unique badging.

All ILX model cars already feature some modern tech. Such as push-button start, a rearview camera, and one-touch moonroof. The interior boasts a leather steering wheel and an 8-way power driver's seat.

Starting at $29,850, the 2018 Acura ILX Special Edition is $800 more than the base model. When you compare this to the Premium A-Spec and Tech Plus A-spec, priced at $33,050 and $36,050. You're saving thousands with this model.

The A-Spec models still flaunt their interior scheme over the ILX and Special Edition however with their Black headliner and Lux Suede seat inserts, and a dashing (heh) red instrument illumination.

The Acura brought new life to the ILX back in 2016 with a sleek new look and a unified engine option. All ILX models are now instead powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. This gives it 201hp with a solid 180 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission has also become the standard and only option.

The 2018 Acura ILX is now on sale. The ILX Special Edition, ILX Premium A-Spec, and the Tech Plus A-Spec will be publicly available in the near future.
