When a Tesla Roadster makes its way into space, you'd think that everywhere else sounds like a letdown. Despite this, it still shocked Tesla staff when a 2020 Roadster prototype appeared at Gigafactory 1 in Nevada.

The company is touring the vehicle around to their various facilities, letting employees get a first-hand look at the future model. In the prior month, it was seen at Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto. This gave us the closest look at the car yet. Around the same time, we spotted the vehicle at Tesla’s Fremont test track.

Now the same Roadster has appeared at the company's Li-on battery factory, Gigafactory 1. Here we get an even closer look at the vehicle.

When unveiled last November, CEO Elon Musk boasted the vehicle's specs, capable of 0-60 mph in 1.9 sec, 620-mile of range, and a top speed of over 250 mph. If they can release the car by 2020, as planned, then it'll be the fasted production car on the market. A fully electric vehicle, no less.

The automaker is currently taking reservations for the $200,000 base version with an insane $50,000 deposit and for the $250,000 Founders Series for an even more insane $250,000 deposit.
