In Tesla's recent announcement event, they have announced one mouth-watering ride: The 2020 Telsa Roadster. This is an improved version of the original roadster, with significant speed and acceleration behind its fully electrical fuel source. The 2020 Roadster can go from 0 to 60 mph in only 1.9 seconds, 0 to 100 mph in 4.2 seconds, has a top speed of 250 mph, and can travel up to 621 miles in one charge (that's about twice the length of the Grand Canyon).

The Roadster was revealed during the Telsa Semi unveiling, where it peeled out onto the stage in a rather dramatic manner. With the 2020 Roadster now public, I'm sure we will see more of what this car is capable of. Its due to release in, you guessed it, 2020. You can reserve a Founder's Series edition now, which will cost $250,000. You can pay $5,000 now to reserve it, as long as you pay the remainder 8 days from now.

It is great to see the application of an electric vehicle being applied to more than just commuting or suburban travel. The Tesla Semi shows its commercial potential, while the Roadster 2020 shows it can still pack an impressive punch.

Tesla also released a teaser trailer for the new 2020 Tesla Roadster, which can be seen above.
